WHAT IS OUR VISION?

In a time when everyone could use a little more connectivity, we are creating the linkages for communities on the forefront of alternative systems of ART and ENERGY. Our ultimate goal is to BUILD BRIDGES between the hubs of communities doing things a little differently, connecting youth and families with the resources they need to create and sustain harmonious, rhythmic livelihoods.  While in Chile, we strive to accomplish this goal in multiple ways...

Community murals: creating artwork with youth that inspire connection with the land, color, sustainability, and empowerment. (Above: we helped organize a community mural at a percussion and dance seminar in Molco, near Villarrica in the south of Chile.)

Knowledge portal:
an online map system for livestreamed + video-based teaching and sharing shaped by the communities where we work (Above: As we develop an interface to connect people to alternative energy & education resources via crowdsourced geospatial info, we are starting at the community level to collect data)

Video documentary series: Connecting community alternative energy producers with the knowledge and resources to expand, educate, and create (Above: we documented the work of a grassroots waste vegetable oil collection group in the underserved neighborhood of La Pintana.)

Arts curricula & workshops: spreading ideas about self-sufficiency and empowerment. (Above: Michelle demonstrating how to fold up paper into a zine at our poetry and comic book workshop taught at Luís Matte Larraín middle school in a low-income neighborhood of Santiago).

We will bring these discoveries and refined curricula back to underserved communities in the U.S. and beyond.
