Rescue the Princess!

Donation protected
Donn and Janet King have been caring for their profoundly disabled daughter at home for as long as I have known them. With help from her brother and a nursing agency that is struggling to fully cover a schedule because of the nursing shortage, they care for Hannah around the clock. Hannah has a rare chromosomal anomaly, and cannot speak or move purposefully. Her condition required a tracheostomy a few years ago, and she requires suctioning several times an hour to keep her breathing passages free.

Janet is disabled, as well, and Donn and the son who lives at home try to juggle caring for both of them with school and work. They are stretched to the limit, and today, at a routine therapy appointment for Hannah, their 20-year-old adaptive vehicle bit the dust.

This family needs a break. Can you find it in your heart to give a few dollars to see that they get one this year? A secondhand adaptive van would be a godsend to this little girl, to help get her to and from her therapy and doctor's appointments safely. If you're unable to donate, please send positive thoughts and prayers and please consider sharing this campaign!

*Any funds raised in excess of those needed to purchase the van will go toward Hannah's needs that aren't covered by insurance, such as over-the-counter medications, a generator to protect her during power outages and keep her equipment running, etc. Those expenses add up to a significant amount each year.*
