Sara's Dream Graduate School

Hi, My name is Sara Hopkin. I am currently working full time at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center.  I am raising money so I will be able to afford graduate school.  I will be attending Swansea Univeristy in the Fall. Unfortunately, education is expensive. And even with working full time, I won't be able to cover all of my expenses in time to be able to pay for everything.  The total cost of living will be about $50,000 and I will only be earning $14,000 before school starts. The money will be used mostly to pay for tuition ($24,000 of the total to be exact). The rest will be used to supplement the money I am earning whilst working to support myself while in school.  Because I am going to be an international student, I will be severely limited in employment opportunities. I ideally would have the funding by 5 September 2016. This funding will allow me to reach my goals. I want to be a play therapist and work with children who have PTSD from abuse, medical issues or other traumatic life experiences. I will be attending to the emotional needs of children. Giving them the tools to deal with the feelings in an age appropriate way. My goal is to help the rising generation of children be emotionally healthier and to be one of the first internationally certified play therapists. This would truly mean the world to me. It would give me many opportunities and make it so I could focus all of my energy at being successful in school. The better I do in school the better prepared I will be to help the children I will be working with.
