Educate a Girl in Rural Communities

Tax deductible
Many 7th and 8th grade girls in rural communities cannot understand grade-level texts in reading comprehension, math and other subjects. This project objective is to enable  girls in Bankondji village to develop the ability to comprehend and pass the complex high school entrance exam required to enroll in Cameroonian high schools.

by using the Peer-to Peer Tutoring Method, Aumazo is  tutoring girls up to grade-level in their classroom setting.  An expert educator from the US traveled to the village of Bankondji in August 2016 to  train program teachers and provide them with expertise, experience. They are assisting girls in problem-solving and helping them improve their learning skills.

The 30 girls enrolled in the program are very engaged. and committed to their personal success.

Last year, the pass rate of the high school entrance exam for general education was 35% out of which 83% came from our tutoring program. The year prior, only 23% of 8th grade girls passed the exam.
Alida – one of the students who passed – told us that she was enjoying her life now with a happier and lighter heart after succeeding in the exam.

Our goal this year 2018 is to double the rate. However, Aumazo cannot do this without your help. To achieve the 70% success rate, the organization needs to raise $35,000 to support  teachers' salaries and travel expenses and the tutoring fees.

Your generous gifts will keep on giving and spark hope through success for these girls.

Thank you for all that you do to make a world a better place for girls in Bankondji village in Cameroon -Afiica.
