OUR GOAL
Help AYUDH Americas youth from all around the world come together to make change for a better world. We ask for your contribution towards the many youth-created service projects we initiate and run throughout the year, addressing a range of social issues like poverty, hunger, education, equality and climate action. As a volunteer organization that is completely self-financed and comprised mainly of students, we greatly appreciate any contribution made in helping us make actionable change in our local communities. Our round-the-year service projects are active in chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Brazil, and more.
Our mother organization M.A. Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Every dollar you contribute will be used towards:
- the raw materials our chapters need to accomplish our yearly initiatives
- to help organize our annual youth summit where the projects are brainstormed, conceptualized, and initiated
- bring experts, leaders, and dignitaries to meet with, inspire, and guide our youth in executing their projects, as well as hold workshops that develop and prepare the youth to serve society
- all excess money at the end of the year is donated to Embracing the World's international network of charities
WHO ARE WE?
AYUDH (Amrita Youth for Unity in Diversity for Harmony, and Sanskrit for “Peace”) is the youth wing of Embracing the World. We are an organization that aims to use the powerful force of young people to perpetuate natural harmony, social justice, and community empowerment. We work closely with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our 20+ chapters across the Americas. Giving youth a voice for change, together we decide on issues to tackle and craft practical initiatives with locally-implemented projects that create profound ripples of change and impact society on a massive scale. Please read more about our initiatives, progress, and achievements here .
OUR ANNUAL YOUTH SUMMIT
The Ripple Effect is the AYUDH Americas annual Youth Summit, bringing together inspirational speakers, an international Youth Parliament, leadership & personal development workshops, hands-on projects, group discussions, games, nature walks, yoga, music, meditation & self-reflection and more.
Our theme this year is "Live to Love." This year AYUDH is calling on individuals to emphasize the role of love in service, empowerment and global community. In response to the violence, terrorism and rapid environmental destruction we see around us, AYUDH will be emphasizing the role of love in service, empowerment and global community. AYUDH is unique in its focus because we do not only work to support our communities through service or empowerment of young people, we do this with the mission of love, compassion and belief in the ultimate goodness of the world as espoused by Amma.
All youth ages 13-30 are invited to join us for this monumental, life-changing experience.
