In 2010, Kathy was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. Despite her diligent efforts in prevention of recurrence, in March of 2014 she was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer that has metastasized to her bones. The disease put her in the hospital for a full month and due to many set backs, she has been in a nursing home since May working on getting her strength high enough to continue her chemo treatment from home.
Kathy has 20 year old twin boys who need her financial support to get through their college studies. The financial strain for our daughter who has been independent for years (she is now 53 years old) has been demoralizing for her and puts her care and her children’s education at risk. Therefore, we are sponsoring a fund raising benefit on Kathy’s behalf.
