Our Story:
Joshua and I are trying to move into our first family home. We’ve been married since ’08 and now have two children, a girl, 7, and a boy who is 4.
We lost our first house in the market crash, and started renting from family. With the cost of childcare, I chose to stay home with our two kids rather than sign over my check every month to daycare.
Fast forward four years, we have struggled to save for a down payment while renting.
We've had two houses on the line, first one we backed away from after the reality of how much work was going to be needed just to be able to move in (TONS of hidden problems). The second, I thought was a perfect fit, we made an offer and it was accepted, then due some other issues we had to back out of that one, and lost our Earnest Money.
Now as a consequence of backing out of the house offer we a losing our current living situation (we'd told them that we had gotten the house so they had made other arrangements). We have about a month to find a new place to live all the while trying to recover from the loss of the EM.
So we are looking to find a way to cover first and last month's rent as well as re-save the money we lost...
