Baby Jensen Battles Cancer
On January 19th, of this year, Baby Jensen was confirmed to have Hepatoblastoma. On January 10th, Jensen went to his 6 month check-up having no symptoms of a problem. His pediatrician checked his vitals and was examining his umbilical hernia when he became alarmed. The family was told to go to John Hopkin’s Children’s Center immediately and they have not been home since. Within 48 hours of being at JHU Children’s Center Jensen’s tumor was biopsied, he was given a Hickman line, he had bone marrow taken from both hips, and he was put on a feeding tube. He has also been in the ICU twice.
The coming months are going to be extremely difficult for the family as Jensen receives 4 cycles of chemo and surgery. Jensen has an older brother, Marshall, who will be at home during treatments, and whom Jensen's parents will need to split their time. His parents, Matt and Jenn are hard-working, loving parents. But even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses for Jensen’s treatment will be expensive.
We are raising money to help Jenn and Matt with the out-of-pocket hospital costs. Any additional money will be donated to Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation.
