Help Rianna Beat Cancer!
Donation protected
In July 2014, Rianna was diagnosed (in the Philippines) with Stage 3 Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma, a supposedly very responsive and easily curable cancer. After completing 6 cycles of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy, however, the cancer is still there.
Her doctors in Manila are as surprised as everyone with the outcome of her initial treatment. Because of this, we were forced to seek help elsewhere, corresponding with doctors in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and the USA.
By June 2015, everything led us to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, which immediately reevaluated her case. Sadly, the biopsy results are consistent with the old diagnosis but this time, there's lung infiltration, making it much worse (and at Stage 4). The recommended treatment is High-dose Chemo and Stem Cell Transplant.
Although Rianna and our family are very happy at MDACC (probably the best in cancer research), our medical insurance will only cover a tiny fraction of the total estimated cost of $1,000,000.00 for the course of both treatments.
Through this ordeal, Rianna has remained positive and upbeat. She goes about her usual day doing crafts, writing, singing and playing music. With such attitude, we would like to give her a shot at overcoming this cancer. But we can't do it alone...this last year of treatments has dramatically drained our resources and continue to do so while we keep on fighting.
With your help, Rianna won't be forced to seek treatment in another facility which might not have enough experience in this type of resistant cancer and would carry on with what MD Anderson believes is her best possible chance of beating this.
We appreciate any help you can extend. Thank you!!!
