BRANDONLY ESTRADA #AGAINSTDRUNKDRIVING

On July 6,2014 early in the morning i woke up to horrifying news that my 17 year old little brother Brandonly Estrada was in a tragic car accident. When we got to the hospital we were told he had gone in to have major brain surgery and that the surgeons would do everything they could to save him. Once out of surgery we were allowed to stay in the room with him in ICU, he would have to be heavily sedated for 2 to 3 days to prevent his brain from swelling. On the first 2 nights, we were told by the doctors and nurses that they had done everything but that he might not make it and  all we could do is wait and hope for the best. His injuries will change his life,he suffered a deep laceration on the right side of his forehead, a broken nose, and many scrapes and burns; but the worse injury was one that was not noticeable. The Cat Scan revealed the impact of the crash had shifted his brain to the right side and had just enough time to take him into surgery.
To later find out that my brother was in life threatning conditions all because of a careless drunk driver.
I thank god that my brother was strong and after 6 painful days is now doing better, but now a very outgoing & adventourous 17 year old is struggling with his vision , strength of his right arm , and to even walk. No teenager should ever have to go through something like this. My family and I are now asking for a generous donation for medical expenses and to get my brother the therapy he needs to get his life back.
