Dr. Ethan D. Schafer, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Born November 21, 1975 in Pittsfield, MA, he was the son of Joseph and Gaile (Reynolds) Schafer.
Ethan earned his Bachelor’s degree at his beloved University of Michigan, to which he was a passionate supporter and fan. He went on to attend Case Western Reserve University where he earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees as well as becoming an Adjunct Professor.
His love of children was demonstrated not only through his private practice of Child Psychology, but through his work at both Lawrence and the University School; also, his love for Camp Pemigewassett in New Hampshire led him to further serve and support the camping community in numerous professional capacities.
