The Birthpedia Project
Birthpedia is a smartphone app that provides quick and qualified answers about all things birth (conception, pregnancy, labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn care) in a visual format. These quick and qualified answers are given by birth professionals around the country who are being interviewed specifically for this app. The specialists include (but are not limited to): Doctors, Midwives, Childbirth Educators, Doulas, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Authors, Nutritionists, Fitness Instructors, and others.
Our Story
We are a husband and wife team, Gabe and Justine. Gabe's background is in media production producing high end commercials, training videos, birth videography, websites and more. Justine loves birth photography and is a trained Childbirth Educator. We recently decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a project that we are extremely passionate about: Birthpedia. We wanted to combine our talents and passions (production and birth) and develop a truly unique and needed media platform for parents to be.
Why is Birthpedia needed?
We have found that other visual pregnancy and birth resources are dispersed and lack personal touch, information, updated content, or tend to support one style of birth. Birthpedia's contributors shed light on the most recent evidenced based information that is essential for ALL parents who are welcoming new life into the world. These parents will be equipped with critical knowledge and be empowered to make choices that work best for their family.

Many of you have asked how you can help this project. Here are two critical ways you can:
1. Share this GoFundMe page with everyone you know who invest their lives into expecting families, anyone expecting a baby themselves, or anyone who is just a birth junkie!
2. Donate $25. For every $25, that person will receive an annual subscription to Birthpedia to give to whomever they choose. No expiration. (Example: "Susie" gives $75, then she receives 3 annual subscriptions.)
Birthpedia will be produced regardless of this GoFundMe campaign. All monies raised will go straight into marketing the app so we can get it into the right hands; the expectant mom.
