Realizing the effect on her young son, his mom knew that her family needed to figure out a way to help him cope. Paying tribute to his deceased sister was the plan. She asked him if he could help kids in any way, what would he do. Then 5-year-old CJ responded, "I never want another kid to feel lonely," an emotion that he often felt. Blankies 4 My Buddies was the solution. For 7 years, CJ provides warm, cuddly blankets to kids who need an extra dose of comfort. As an ambassador for Giving Tuesday Kids, CJs goal is to collect and donate at least 500 blankets for kids in need. Thank you in advance! C.J. Matthews & Family
