Dental Surgery for Evie Peeves

My name is Maggie, and I am asking for your help to get dental care for my 12 year old cat, Miss Evie Peeves. I adopted her from a shelter when she was around two. She and her kitty brother came with me when I got married.
In 2010 I became very ill and was diagnosed with lupus. Later that year my husband and I separated, and he kept the cats, as my parents did not want cats in the house they planned on selling soon.
A year ago, in 2015, my ex announced he was moving out of state and could not bring Evie with him, and did I want her back. I already have two cats, but sending my baby back to a shelter as a senior was not something I could live with.
Because I am disabled and live on a fixed income I was unable to get Evie to see a vet until just this week. It turns out that my ex did not keep up with her veterinary care.
She has stage four periodontal disease, complete with painful lesions on her gums that form as her jaw bones literally rereabsorb her teeth. The vet said it is a painful condition, and eating only makes the pain worse. She needs to have almost all her teeth removed, possibly including her canines.
I need to raise approximately $1200 to pay for Evie's veterinary bills. I know what it is like to live with pain day in and day out. No matter how joyful a person you are, the pain wears you down into an irritable grump. There's no cure for lupus, but this surgery can save my kittylove from a painful existence and slow death via infection and starvation.
