In Memory of Terri Shoemaker

Donation protected

First, I want to say thank you for the outpouring of support and love shown over the last two days. It's clear my mom was loved by everyone she met.

My mom passed away on January 7th at 12:01 PM. Her husband, Danny, and I were by her side as her heart beat its last beat. It was the most painful moment of my life, but it's a moment I'm glad I was there for.

Now reality is setting in, and we need to turn to our loved ones for help.

As many of you know, Danny went through a double-lung transplant last year, and is no longer able to work. He takes dozens of pills a day to keep his new lungs working. Stress is something Danny is supposed to avoid, but given the loss of his high school sweetheart/wife, and the added hospital bills incurred trying to save my mom's life, he's struggling to keep his chin up.

The donations made here will go towards the following:

- Cremation Services (my mom's request)
- Memorial Service (This will happen in 3-4 weeks)
- Hospital bills
- Obituary publication
- Unexpected expenses we might not be aware of
- Food and supplies for Danny until we can get him back on his feet

I don't know the exact amounts yet, but anything (even $1) is appreciated more than you could ever know.

I'm planning on self-publishing a photo book with places and things my mom loved. All photos will be from me, and I will send out a copy to the top 5 donators (more if possible).

My mom's love was skydiving. I will be bringing along her ashes for my first jump, and I will release them on my way down. I know she would love this!

I'll also be spreading her ashes in her hometown (Dover, NH), and Lanikai Beach, which was her favorite beach when she lived on Oahu, and she talked about it often.

If you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read it. It's important to me to give my mom the send off she deserves, and to be able to help Danny find his way through this with as little stress as possible. I wouldn't be posting this if it wasn't absolutely necessary.

I will keep this campaign updated with news and photos of anything going on. Please share it with anyopne who knew my mom, and thank you again for any help you're able to provide.
