Hello,
My name is Dija Henry and I'm a filmmaker living in the Midwest with my family. This is our 5th short film. We seek to produce content that inspires and uplifts. Thanks for visiting our page!

When my brother in law was killed in his home two years ago, it was devastating. He had just celebrated his 40th birthday and was dating the love of his life. It was such a shock.

When we had the funeral, my husband, his younger brother, gave the eulogy. It was so beautiful to hear how his older brother had impacted his life from an early age - especially getting him to be interested in creating music and going after his dreams.

During that time I remember my husband was having a tough time and I asked him to tell me about some memories. My heart broke as my husband shared stories of how he and his brother used to play as kids with their dogs and how his brother showed him how to make his first rap book. I was moved by the bond they had as young kids. I wanted to create something to honor that memory of brotherhood.

The people who die because of gun crime aren't statistics. They have families and loved ones who are left behind and hurting.

But the story doesn't have to end there. There is hope. I want that message to ring true.  I want those who have lost loved ones to know they aren't alone.

For the past year and a half, we have been writing and filming our short film. We are almost finished with a few scenes left to go. We have been so blessed to have an amazing cast and crew working together to make this vision a reality. However, we need to raise finishing funds for post-production, marketing materials, and fees to put the film in festivals.

Our goal is to humanize the stories that are affected by gun violence and help those victims know they are not alone.

There is so much power in knowing you are not alone.

Your support would mean so much to us to create a quality film honoring family and healing. It will benefit so many who have experienced loss to see a story they can resonate with.

That is the power of storytelling.
