New Hip = No Income for Brian

Hip Hip Not Hooray!

While being on "light duty" at work since March, I've not worked a full week all summer. Treating what we thought was a back/lumbar issue burned up all my leave pay. Turns out it was my hip all along.

Time for a new hip. And not too soon!

After getting a total hip replacement on August 5th, my recovery time will be from 6 to 8 weeks - or longer. During that time, I will be receiving no income.

Due to past health issues, I have no Sick Leave or Annual (vacation) Leave left.

I am blessed to have my lovely wife Marilyn to care for me and help in my recovery. But she will also not receive any income as long as she is home caring for me - a double whammy.

So, friends, I'm asking for donations to help us get over this "bump in the road of life".

I look forward to being pain free, and to be able to get back to work as soon as possible.
