Briar Ploude is a 5 time Nation All American High Jumper from Emporia State University. During his time at Emporia he achieved many things such as:
A 6th place finish at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, and a 1st place finish at the MIAA Outdoor Conference Championships in 2010.
A 1st place finish at the MIAA Indoor Conference Championships, and 8th place finish at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in 2011.
An 8th place finish at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in 2012.
A 1st place finish at the MIAA Indoor Conference Championships, A 2nd place finish at Drake Relays, a 1st place finish at the MIAA Outdoor Conference Champions, and a 4th place finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in 2013.
A 3rd place finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in 2014.
Ploude’s personal best is 7’ 3.75” which he jumped at the Jayhawk Classic in the 2013 indoor season. His most recent jump of 7'2.4" has him currently tied for 16th in the world.
Since his graduation with a degree in secondary Education in December Ploude has moved to Hays, Kansas where he has continued his jump training at Fort Hays State University. His new goal is to travel Europe competing with new people at new places in hopes to achieve a World Championships qualifying mark.
The money donated will go towards his passport and visa, traveling expenses, meet entry costs, hotel costs, and food costs. By donating you help a dedicated athlete achieve his goal of competing at the World Championship meet.
