Aimee's Lung Transplant Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Aimee Driscoll is a 29 year old mother suffering from Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic disease which primarily affects the lungs among other things and is a terminal illness no cure currently available. The only way to extend Aimee's time with her family was through a double lung transplant which she received at the last possible second at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina on June 29th. As Aimee and her caregiver are so far from their home in Maine, they have had to rent an apartment to remain close to the hospital and sustain Aimee's recovery. Aimee is expected to remain in North Carolina for 6 months while she recovers. The cost of this is high, coming in at around $2,500 a month. We are asking you to help us raise the funds for August so that Aimee can remain in North Carolina next to Duke so that she may survive her transplant with the best possible care!
Any and all support that you can provide will be greatly appreciated by Aimee, her family and the Second Chances Foundation which has been created to raise the funds that she needs in order to pay for her transplant!
