Help Olivia and Her Family

Donation protected

Olivia Landreth is a precious little girl who lives in Leicester, NC just outside of Asheville. She was born with a heart defect called AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect). On New Year's Day in 2009 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, Olivia received a new heart and a chance at a normal childhood. Today, Olivia is faced with yet another challenge; a combined liver/heart transplant. Pediatric liver/heart transplants are extremely rare, with only a handful having been performed in the United States. She will have to stay in the Duke University Hospital area because of the medicine her little body requires until the organs become available to her. Her parents, Damon and Kim Landreth, are faced with maintaining a residence in Durham, on top of keeping their home in Leicester. Kim will stay with Olivia in Durham and Damon, a firefighter and rescue worker, will stay in Asheville to work and will travel to be with them when his job permits. If you've ever thought of donating to a worthy cause, please consider helping this family. They are worried sick about their little girl, and the added stress of trying to find the extra money for living arrangements and expenses is overwhelming. Please let us all come together to help lighten the load and burden of this family. They need your support, and any amount will help.
