Cross-Country Coloring Book

Let's face it, most adult coloring books now-a-days with the recent fad are targeted to moms and contain the same paisley, floral patterns in almost every design. I want to create a coloring book for the misfits, the stoners, the weirdos, and the punks because who says we don't deserve to sit down and color for relaxation as well?

In these coloring books I want tons of pages to choose from, and I want actual places to inspire each element of the pages. The few actual pages that I have already completed contain some elements from actual places I've been like my subway drawing was inspired by all of the strange people and instances that have occurred on the muni while I was spending my high school summers in San Francisco.
I want to travel for this project and incorporate stories, people I meet, crazy things that happen to me, buildings I see, natural formations I climb and more into the drawings. That way people won't be just coloring some little doodles, they will be coloring an adventure; a REAL adventure. The coloring book itself will take you on a journey and you'll be able to step into my shoes on this roadtrip and hopefully it will inspire you to go places and experience new things. 

The plan is to sell everything I own and pack a few essentials including my drawing paper and pens into my car and go! My goal is to leave in late May/early June when the lease on my house is up and my route will begin in southern New Mexico near White Sands and then I'll move east into Texas and then the rest of the country full circle. Ideally this is a six-month trip, but it could present itself to be longer if I find myself having too much fun and the coloring book is telling me that it needs more. I plan on looking for work on my travels including everything from mowing lawns to spending a week or two doing construction. I've saved a few bucks to help with gas and stuff, but your contribution will gladly be appreciated and go toward gas, the few campsites I'll rent, some food, and restocking of art supplies. I intend to stay with people I know, use couchsurfing, and free campsites as much as I possibly can so that the money I save and your contribution can go toward prolonging this trip for as long as it can. 

Then when all is said and done, I'll find a place to settle and I'll print the damn thing for everyone to enjoy.
