My name is Nick, and I have set up this campaign for my wife, Liz. You will find her story below & the reason for the campaign. Please help us get her home for treatment! Other donation options: PayPal: Google Send: [email redacted] LIZ'S STORY Liz & I met in West Virginia in July 2011 while we were both spending time at ACE Adventure Resort, white water rafting! This picture is from our honeymoon in 2012, yes, we went to Disney World! 2012  In March 2014 Liz was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, and this has left her progressively worsening. Between 2014 and 2016 she was diagnosed with an additional 10 "co-morbidities." Then, in 2016, she was diagnosed with Cerebrovascular Disease with an accompanied carotid artery aneurysm. 2014  We tried to pursue treatment here first as it's hard for her to travel. Her Neurologist is wonderful, but her Neurosurgeon was dismissive of the aneurysm and even told her to forget it was there and move forward with life. Liz is very intuitive and she knew something wasn't right. So, we pursued treatment at home.That decision saved her life! Her neurosurgeon told us that it wouldn't have been a year before the aneurysm had burst, giving her a 80-95% chance of dying. That brings us to now..... 2016  Liz continues to worsen and is now in a sever relapse, and has been confined to bed for 3 months straight now (other than medical appointments, and the rare good day where she's able to come downstairs). She's had to start having caregivers come into the house twice a day to help her wash, apply pain relieving gels, bring food up to the bed, etc. The ladies are very nice, but this step has been very hard for Liz as she is an independent woman at heart. 2017  We have to get her home for treatment, and the cost of what she requires to be comfortable is daunting, and unattainable right now. She starts with medical appointments on July 27th and they run all of the way through August. She has other diagnostic tests, and appointments, and we are hoping to see a specialist for her M.E. in Maryland, which is where she is from. Anything you can give for my wife's medical costs & travel is greatly appreciated! We still need to buy three plane tickets soon as their prices are already rising ($2800), book a suitable, disabled-friendly rental car ($1,150) for most of the time. We have been offered a place to stay FOR FREE!! Thank you all for your support for both of us!
