Cat Lake Cancer Awareness Walk

I, Joyce Wesley-Peters, feel that First Nation people do not receive adequate health care upon cancer diagnosis.

Most patients are given a prognosis of their condition and sent back to their communities to spend their final days with family. This happens way too much; especially in the isolated communities in the North.

There is an INEQUALITY vs the Health Care provided in a largely populated area. This discrepancy has to end! In an effort to bring about awareness, we will be walking from Thunder Bay, ON. to Vancouver, British Columbia to address this issue.

I will be making this journey with my two teenage sons and nephew and your donations will help us cover some of the costs of our journey.
