Heartworm Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Help Collin County Animal Services provide heartworm treatment for the heartworm positive dogs at Collin County Animal Services. The money in this fund will provide pre-treatment medication and assist adopters with the treatment of heartworm positive dogs that they adopt.
Heartworm treatment costs between $300 and $1000 or more - all of our animals will be treated by All Heart Veterinary Center in Farmersville. $500 will be allocated toward each Heartworm Positive dog.
At this time you cannot select a specific dog to allocate funds toward. We will allocate the funds based on length of time in shelter, as the funds come in.
If for any reason an animal cannot be treated, the funds will go to another animal.
If excess funds are received, and if the general spay/neuter account does not have any funds available, these funds may be used for the spay/neuter of the animals as well.
