Our team is part part of the CCV Stars Soccer Club, Inc. which is a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
The CCV Stars 04 Girls Black has quickly become one of the top teams in the country in their age group. These athletes give their very best on the field and off. They embody what is sometimes missing in youth sports by placing God, character, and integrity above athletic performance. In order to continue growing as soccer players, the team has applied for and been accepted to join the Far West Regional League (Desert Premier Division) this year. With the dedication of the professional coaching staff, loving parents, and motivated players these girls will compete against some of the best teams in the country. Part of the challenge this squad now faces is the additional costs incurred in the form of travel expenses and league fees. That is where your kind gift can alleviate some of the financial burden that these families incur. Please consider donating to assist with our players’ travel expenses and league fees and help these spirited young ladies reach the stars (the funds will not be used to cover any travel expenses of the girls families). More Than A Game (M.T.A.G.)
At STARS, we utilize a MTAG philosophy that emphasizes life skill development so that each kid can win on and off the field. We want to partner with parents to further develop the character and integrity of their child based on Christian values.
Key Components of MTAG
Weekly Team Huddles with Challenge Cards- Coaches, players, and parents will spend time each week discussing an assigned challenge
Prayer- teams pray together at practices and games
Play with Sportsmanship- players are taught to play with honesty. We are not "win at all costs"
Family Balance- practice days/times are limited to promote a more balanced lifestyle
Standards for Behavior- we hold our players, parents, coaches, and our STARS staff accountable for acting properly
