Celestial Forge Crowdsourcing

For many years, I have been an avid roleplayer and video game player.  I always wanted to combine these two hobbies into new game.  Yes, there are many games out there like World of Warcraft, Everquest, and others based on popular fiction like Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings.  However, they are all limited to a very finite and essentially the same experience.

I have sought a way to make the universe of online gaming more expansive, where almost anything goes.  Players designing equipment within the laws of the game universe, exploring and problem solving, even developing reputations that do more than just provide equipment.  A game in which what the player does has an impact on more than just the player's score or level, but alters how the rest of the game universe, both player characters and non-player characters treat the player.

I have recently finished my degree in game programming and am already working on developing this massively multi-player space sandbox in which the players can do anything from be simple farmers to galactic conquerors; from simple inventors to seekers of the answers of what happened to the  last great galactic civilization.

We are currently seeking the donations to build up the assets we need to more quickly achieve our goals: better equipment, more artists for more and better art assets, and proper servers so we can begin our multiplayer functionality.
