Centex Support
Centex is a really important tournament that connects lots of teams across the country. And with all the tournaments that were cancelled this year, we can be thankful that they managed to find a field, no matter how muddy it was.
However, it was really unfortunate that UT Austin incurred $10,000 extra costs to ensure that Centex happened. They haven't asked for anything beyond the bid fee, but, I'm sure you can all imagine, a $10,000 loss is a hefty hit on a college ultimate program.
If each person who went to Centex donated $5, we can help them recoup ~$4000. That doesn't amount to the entire loss by any measure, but it ought to help reduce some of the strain.
I enjoyed this tournament. It's been a great tournament all the years my team has participated, despite wind and mud. For womens ultimate! Yay!
Here's to hoping we'll get some good weather in Texas next year! Wish everyone well with the rest of their season.
