Checkers World Title Match

Hello, my fellow potential donors and fans!

As some of you probably are aware - recently I competed in 3-moves Checkers World Qualify Tournament 2018 on Barbados where I finished 2nd, 1 point behind winner Ron King. He is an official challenger now to World Champion Sergio Scarpetta from Italy. I had the strongest opponents in this tournament and at the end of event my honor points were 17 (!) points higher than winner. Furthermore I managed to beat Ron King in our face to face game and several other strong opponents. All my 8 opponents finished among top 12 players (including myself).

Just 10 days before this tournament in the middle of October, many of us played in USA National 3 moves tournament in Las Vegas, where I tied for 1st place with World Champion Sergio Scarpetta with 34 points. Ron King was 3rd with 30 points. And many people including myself consider this event stronger than one on Barbados.

This performance and my "internal voice" force me to believe that as-of-now I definitely have all chances to be successful and win a title in match against World Champion Sergio Scarpetta.

I decided to move ahead and use "Independent Challenge" option which WCDF (World Checkers and Draughts Federation) rules allow. Three conditions shall be meet for Independent Challenge:

1) $$$ amount of bid should be well higher than usual amount for World Title Matches. 

2) WCDF shall approve challenger candidacy. In other words - challenger cannot be a wealthy stranger and must be recognized by fraternity.

3) World Champion shall accept challenge. Official challenge from winner of WQT cannot be rejected, but Independent challenge must be accepted and it is up to champion to make decision.

I already had contact with Mr. Sergio Scarpetta and he confirmed that he agrees to play such match in 2019 or 2020 if cash prize will be $20,000 and all his expenses (transportation, accommodation, food) will be covered. This simply means we have to collect $24,000-$25,000.

If any of you believe I have real chance to win this match and return title to USA - please, make donation and be a donor of this match. We have to collect good amount of $$$, but the price for this is obvious - we can secure very interesting and close contest 3-moves World Title match in history. Perhaps one of the most interesting, attractive event in 3-move checkers in 21st century.

I was World Champion for more than 10 years (2002-2013) and am very confident that I can succeed again!

I am 59 years old, Master Degree in Computer Science and working as Computer Programmer for Major Pittsburgh Bank. I have 3 kids (19, 23 and 35) and two of them are Americans (were born in USA).

If you all help me to raise necessary match fund  - this will be something very, very special for me and checkers. Returning 3-moves World Title to USA is my life time dream.
