Chi Chi's Vet & Prosthetic Costs

Donation protected
One question we often get asked about Chi Chi is "How can I help?" One way you can help is by donating to her ongoing veterinary care and prosthetic expenses.  If you don't know her story, Chi Chi is a quadruple amputee rescued from South Korea.  We raised money for her initial set of prosthetic feet, but they have to be maintained and will eventuallly need to be replaced.  We also hope to improve and enhance her prosthetics as new technology is available. A recent advancement is a spring foot prosthesis - the shock absorption in the device takes stress off the stump. We would like to raise enough money to try this new design on Chi Chi's front prosthetics. We hope the new design will reduce the sores she gets on her legs which impact her mobility.

Chi Chi also has Lupus. While there is no cure, the symptoms are treatable. The medication is expensive and she will need to take it for the rest of her life. In addition, she receives cold laser therapy from her vet.  This treatment is really helpful with healing and pain management for her limbs but is also costly.

UPDATE 1/26/18
In Novemeber and December 2017, Chi Chi had 2 mast cell Skin Cancer tumors succesfully removed. We continue to monitor her daily for Skin Cancer and will treat her as needed. Thanks for the financial support as well as the thoughts and prayers for her.

All donations are kept in a dedicated account for her and will be used 100% for Chi Chi's care and expenses. Any amount donated helps!
