School Expenses

That's my daughter. He name is Maggie, and she's one helluva girl. She's entering her junior year at RIT in New York. She has a nice scholarship that she worked very hard for, student loans, and a grant. This year she's found an apartment off campus to help us save about $3000 on the room and board expenses. During the summer she's held a full time job serving and has saved a nice chunk to for gas and grocery money for the year. During the year she works two jobs on campus and brought home straight A's.
Problem is, her single mom is simply tapped out. I went back to school to become licensed to teach high school math and in January I quit my job to do my student teaching. After finishing the program I got two jobs to tide me over until I found a teaching position. So far, I have not landed a teaching position (but I'm ever hopeful!) and I managed to fall and break my arm, which has left me out of a job for the duration. Between the student teaching and this hiccup I'm coming up short, but I don't want this to affect her.
Maggie is studying industrial design, which is - boiled down - product design. Sort of the marriage between art and engineering...but less engineering. ;) Much of her product rendering is done on computer, and hers is a dinasaur. It's incapable of running the programs she needs to use (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc) so she has to use the computers in the school's lab. This works, but ultimately, she really needs her own laptop.
I'm asking to raise $2000, which would cover a new computer, and updated software.
Thank you so much for your consideration. Every little bit helps! :)
