Dear Friends, Family and Business Owners,

Each year, 8.2 of every 100,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with primary malignant brain tumors. Glioblastomas comprise 23% of primary brain tumors in the U.S., and are the most commonly diagnosed brain tumor in adults aged 45-74. (IRSA.org)

Phil is married to Diahn, who is his primary caregiver. He is also the father of three children; Jakalynne 22, Santino 11, and Diahn 6. Along with spending time with his family, Phil also has a passion for cars. He is a devoted father and a dedicated worker with a multitude of talents. He is always willing to use his talents and free time to help someone with a project or even just a question.

On April 9th, 2014, Phil Hassett’s life changed forever. He was rushed to Christ Hospital after having stroke like symptoms while driving. A completed MRI showed a tumor located on his speech center. He had surgery on April 10 and received a diagnosis of stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme. Phil completed 30 treatments of radiation; however, on July 16 he was readmitted to Christ and an MRI determined the tumor had returned. He is having a port put in to start chemo; due to the cancer and returning seizures he is unable to return to work.

We are asking for donations to help Phil and his family with medical and living expenses. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
