Cody's Hospital and Transport Bills

Cody Thomas Guthrie was a dearly loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandson. He was born in Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon on August 15, 2002. Named after his great grandfather, Cody Brownlee, and his father, Joel Thomas Guthrie, Cody lived in Canby, Oregon and went to school at First Baptist Church School. He passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.   A big, quiet kid with a big heart, he has a passion for cars, Top Gear, video games, Star Wars, and could cite the King James Version of Daniel 6 and basketball statistics—going back decades—all off the top of his head. His favorite cars include his Dad’s 1969 Ford Mustang, the Lamborghini Huracán, and the 1974 Chevrolet Nova he and his Dad were renovating.  Cody’s four year-old niece, Kylie, said, “Every morning I wake up and the sun comes up, I can see Jesus and Cody in the sun watching us”—a touching reminder to all that Cody is still with us every day. He is survived by his parents, Joel and Kelly Guthrie; his brother, Alex Walls, and his sister-in-law Sara Walls, his niece Kylie and nephew Tristen; his grandparents, Roger and Phyllis Allen, and Bill and Dianna Guthrie; his uncles and aunts, Tom and Sarah Guthrie, Misty Guthrie, Robert and Angela Price; his cousins, Michael, Marcus, Erin, Joseph, Savannah; and his dog Lucy and his cat Linus.  We are seeking funds to help cover the expense of Life Flight, and all other bills.  After our deductible, we are still responsible for 30% of the bills up to our yearly maximum out of pocket.
