Community of Hope Renovation Fund

Community of Hope supports North Portland homeless single parents and their children in transforming their lives. We build on the strengths families already have while providing housing, classes, resources, and mentoring. This support helps parents take personal responsibility to hold a job, manage finances, steer clear of addictions, develop positive relationships, grow in parenting skills, and make healthy life choices, all in the context of community.

In order to continue providing this service to our community we will be closing in May through June or July, in order to make some needed renovations. We will be adding a couple of walls upstairs in order to increase our bedrooms to nine; one for a staff member and the other eight for families to live in. We also will be adding showers and laundry facilities, and will remodel the kitchen. Community of Hope’s building will be brought up to code, have a sprinkler and fire alarm system, and be ADA accessible. We would like to add a new roof and fix our siding as well, but we need your help financially to accomplish all of these necessary changes.
