REACHING OUT TO CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ALUMNAE
Cherished Memories For A Lifetime (CML) is a
501(c)(3) non profit organization. CML provides gifts and unique experiences for homeless and financially distressed children and families throughout the nation, aiming to enhance their quality of life.
We are raising money and soliciting Volunteers for our college.youcan Live Stream and Video Project. By becoming a Volunteer with this project you will be serving as a College Champion for low -income children, throughout the nation.
Mission of this project: In fun and unique ways, connect low-income children with the college experience, inspire them to think about college and most important let them know that they too can attend college.
As a College Champion volunteer, we need your help with the following:
(we understand that everyone is not comfortable with live stream or videos therefore that aspect is truly optional):
· MyCollegeShare – College Students or Alumnae recording short Live Stream segments on Periscope and/or YouTube videos discussing current and past college experiences relating to college challenges, bad days at college, good days at college, exam prep, fun times, overcoming college challenges, roommate challenges with a positive or comical theme (no mean spirited commentary), etc.
Links to your Live stream and YouTube videos will be available for teachers who teach in low-income communities, throughout the nation, to share with their students. Kids will get to know you, if you record enough segments/videos, and will be excited about seeing updates from you. Teachers will be asked to provide comments and feedback from the students and the feedback and comments will be shared with you.
· Share links to your Live Stream/YouTube videos and information about the college.youcan project with your social media community
· Help to collect items online (listed below) and promote online fundraising for project items listed below
· Help with any holiday projects – our 2016 Holiday College Stockings Project will run from November 7, 2016 – January 3, 2017 - college logo/emblem holiday gifts will be given to homeless and financially distressed children and families, througout the nation

Funding raised for this Project will provide:
· Laptops and tablets to assist low-income students with their homework assignments and for teachers teaching in low-income communities
· Virtual/onsite college tours
· School supplies with college emblems
· College t-shirts and college souvenirs
· Stuffed animals, sleeping bags, linen with college emblems for kids affected by natural disasters
· Tickets for college sports and cultural events
· Books generated through online book drives
· Sorority and fraternity t-shirts and souvenirs
We would love to have your support as we strive to inspire a generation of children, who need our help.
