Despite everything, Kelly has devoted his life to his family. He has raised several children, including children with significant needs, and has always put their wellbeing ahead of his own. His love for his family is unwavering, and he continues to do everything he can to support and care for them.

In recent years, Kelly and his family have faced unimaginable hardship. They have experienced homelessness multiple times, spending years without stable housing while fighting to keep their family together. Today, they are living in housing that is not safe or suitable for their family’s needs, yet they have few options available to them. On top of that, they are burdened with approximately $200,000 in medical debt, creating constant financial stress and uncertainty about the future.

Despite serving his country, Kelly receives only $678 per month from the VA, an amount that falls far short of covering the basic costs of housing, medical expenses, and caring for his family. Every month is a struggle, yet Kelly continues to put his family first.

Perhaps the most heartbreaking reality is the depth of love and sacrifice within their family. Kelly’s wife once shared that she would rather die if it meant knowing Kelly would be taken care of.
