WE NEED YOUR HELP:
My name is Rodney Zimmerman, founder of Conditioned Minds. I am compelled to send this out to all of you. This year thus far I watched 4 children die in many different ways. Their stories touched me whole heartedly. I personally witnessed 2 students at a high school who have no guidance towards following their dreams of becoming a software engineer, and a dancer. They have no parental support at home. They feel the only thing left for them is jail or the streets. I watched 1 child on the news who physically died from gun violence in his neighborhood. I was brought to tears when his mom said to the reporter that he had no other way out of his situation because his school and coaches didn't care. And I watched as a girl, age 11, sat hopeless on the bench outside of a school waiting for a basketball clinic to finish because she wanted to shoot and could not afford the clinic.
SO WHAT? What about these 4 kids who died in such different ways? These are the 4 kids who represent so many kids everywhere who cannot afford an opportunity to change their lives.
This is why this GoFund me page so important? For the past 10 years we have transformed many lives in many states. Conditioned Minds has taught youth how to accel in their passion using the tools of determination, understanding, critical thinking, and attitude. We have seen 97% of our kids go on to college. Conditioned Minds programs have changed the lives of so many, but we still don't get a chance to work with that one child, because they cannot afford it.
If you would like to help Conditioned Minds make a difference in preventing the deaths of 4 more kids, a small donation will allow us to go into the schools and select with administrations, those kids who are at risk of being that next statistic. Conditioned Minds will work with these individuals by having them attend camps and programs in their area.
IT DOESN'T TAKE A LOT TO THINK CHANGE, AND TAKES EVEN LESS TIME TO MAKE CHANGE!!
The Conditioned Minds foundation has a $6,500 cap this year on what can be used for camp. I, Rodney Zimmerman, am asking for all of us to think about the change we want to see in our communities. Conditioned Minds is reaching into your communities this year in California, Georgia, Colorado, Alabama, and New Mexico.
