HELP COOPER GET TO NATIONALS!
Cooper is thrilled to announce that he has made the team to represent NSW (PSSA) at the National Athletics Championships for 2018. The event is only a few short weeks away. (Friday 23rd Nov – Tuesday 27th Nov)
After just missing out on making the team in 2017, he has spent the last 12 months training diligently and working hard on improving his technique, speed and stamina.
Cooper has Spastic Quadriplegia, which is a form of Cerebral Palsy, brought on by a brain injury shortly after birth. Complications came about after Cooper was born at just 26 weeks gestation, weighing just 720g. With a multitude of struggles and life threatening illnesses, Cooper spent 4 months in intensive care before coming home.
He is such a strong young man who has overcome so much and takes everything in his stride. He works hard to be the best he can be and is so supportive and encouraging of all of those around him. His “never give up” attitude and his determination to proudly represent his school, team and state is highly inspirational.
Cooper will be competing in the Multiclass events and is classified for these as a T38/F38.
It is a 5-day event that will be held in Melbourne.
Cooper will be representing NSW in two events.

He will also participate in the opening/closing ceremonies, educational excursion and teams challenge day.
Cooper is required to have his competing uniform, dress shorts and polo (for opening/closing ceremony), team socks, team tracksuit, team hat, bag etc.
$615 of monies raised will go towards competition levy, all uniforms and excursions.
Any money remaining will go towards flights, transfers and accommodation.
