Some History...

Many of you know that I'm a didgeridoo player.

It all started with a lesson from Shine Edgar 8 1/2 years ago. I learned quickly, and before long I was performing around Vancouver as well as sharing my journey with YouTube viewers around the world in a series of free instructional/journal videos. I'm now at 3000 subscribers and growing!

However, along the way, I stopped growing. I no longer knew where to turn for deeper instruction. I plateaued and started to wonder if the didge just wasn't for me.

Then Dubravko found me. He's this incredible player from Croatia, one of the most technically masterful in the world. A secret sponsor/angel helped me set up a first lesson with him, and from there my playing began to expand again. 

Why This Campaign?

Dubravko just invited me to a master class workshop weekend in August! I'm super stoked!

But....it's in Croatia!

I've been struggling to make ends meet, fighting long bouts of depression, doing my best to stay afloat and just barely managing. If I had the funds, I'd book the trip right now, but....I don't. While I continue to figure out work and get back on top of life, I'd love your help!

Can you help me get to Croatia in August to meet my new teacher in person? I'd love to dive deep and expand my playing, then bring my newfound technique and material home, where I'll continue to share it around Vancouver and further afield! And of course, I'll keep making YouTube videos sharing my process and progress, not to mention awesome tips and techniques.

I'd love your help realizing a dream I didn't realize I had: to meet others accomplished didge players, to learn from a master player, to take my playing further,  and to do something MORE with the bit of talent I know I have.

Here's How...

The campaign amount is meant to cover the two primary costs of the trip: airfare, which is in the $1500 range for that time of year, and the workshop. The course itself is 555 EUR! That's nearly $900 CAD.

Your pledges will support paying for both of these things, and anything beyond these costs will support me in getting around, staying fed, staying in hostels, etc. I'll be saving up for this as well, and by August I imagine I'll have just enough saved for spending money while traveling.

If I reach my goal, maybe I can connect with other players in Europe, set up a workshop, or see sights I've only dreamed of seeing!
