Cruisin' 4 A Cause 2016

Now in existence for five years, The Arc of Cumberland Valley continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to the community. We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we are offering this year and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our cause.  Our annual fundraiser, Cruisin’ 4 A Cause, will be held this year on Friday, July 22nd at the Hendersonville Cruise In. 

As you know, financial support is extremely important to us, as we rely on donations to help sustain our mission and benefit the community in which we serve. We are asking you donate here if you cannot be present at the Fundraiser. We know that there are families and friends all around the world that would still love to support, this campagin is for you. By donating to our Fundraiser you will help sustain our cause, Project 22, and benefit the community in which we serve.

Project 22  is a social club for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 16 and up.  Project 22 is sponsored by the Arc of Cumberland Valley, a private non-profit  501 (c) 3 organization.  Project 22 provides a bimonthly place to meet new friends and learn new skills.  We teach individuals a variety of recreational-leisure, social skills, service learning, independent living/cooking skills, exercise, music/art activities and vocational skills in a fun, group setting. Not to mention, we throw the best dances around! These activities are provided free of charge to all that attend the meetings.
We also encourage our members to get involved with this program to give back by volunteering with other local organizations in their community. In recent years we’ve grown a Victory Garden at the VFW Post 9851, made care packages for the Samaritan Center, donated homemade treats and goods to the Humane Society of Sumner county and so much more!
