Cub Scout Cabin Repairs

Our Cub Scout cabin in New Hartford is in Desperate need of repairs. The roof has been leaking into the cabin, and needs to be replaced this year.  The cost for the roof is $7,700.  This is our first goal as a Pack.  

Currently there is no working plumbing in the cabin, so neither the bathroom nor kitchen can be used.  When the cubs need to clean their hands they have to use hand sanitize or wash in a bowl of soap water that the Den leader might bring with them to the meeting. 

Two of three interior overhead light fixtures have failed and need to be replaced. 

Some of the wood is rotten on the outside of the cabin as well, and we have water leaking through to the inside wall and floors. 

Our local Cub Scout pack is fully responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Cub Scout cabin.  We will be continuing our fund raising as well, but ask even if you can only give $5 its $5 more then what we    have now and every bit helps. We're hoping to complete all necessary repairs to ensure that the Cub Scouts have a home in New Hartford for the next 20+ years. Cub Scouts provides many benefits to our local children, helps children grow their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, and prepares them to be good citizens of our community, our town and our country.
