Hi my name is Phillip Wise and I am administering this campaign for my friend Rodrigo.
Who is the beneficiary?
Rodrigo is from Chile and we have become really good friends during the last year or so. With studies in psychology and other disciplines and after a successful career as a semi-professional tennis player, teacher and coach, he as left what most of us would call a "normal" life to travel by bicycle and volunteer on organic farms through WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) along the way with the objective of attaining hands on experience in permaculture and non-traditional agricultural practices as well as sustainability. His ultimate goal is to eventually create a farm in Chile that will not only be the embodiment of permaculture principles and practices but will also be a place for healing for those who are seeking unconditional acceptance and communion with the natural world. He has been traveling and working with few resources, spending most of his time working through WWOOF (which provides his basic room and board, but little else), supplemented with donations from people along the way which, as he says, allows him to experience the "love of God". Rodrigo's physical needs are few and simple as he camps while traveling, and his possessions minimal (everything he owns is on his bike).

How would the money be used?
The next step on Rodrigo's journey is to travel Mexico this coming November, and from there bicycle back south to Chile focusing on the agricultural practices of the indigenous populations. Funds received will be used to finance food and basic minimal needs during the traveling time, but also to help make a reality the main object of this journey which is to build an space in close communion with nature that will provide a safe place for people to heal and be able to experience unconditional love and God. Learning and healing by action in a permaculture based farm.
