In Memory of David Blake

David Blake passed away on the morning of April 8th, 2019 at his home in Maine. He was an incredible father, husband,  and friend to all. David was a retired Lieutenant of the Maine State Police. He started his career as a young man in 1966 until he first tried to retire in 1993. He spent a number of years working on his own, but simply could not stay away from the force. He rejoined the  Maine State Police in 2001 and stayed with them until his final retirement in 2018. David received a number of awards during his time with the agency and more importantly made many special bonds with others he worked with. 
    On his own time he had an absolute passion for working on a restoring antique cars. He dedicated his time to many restorations and produced quite a bit of masterpieces. He also had a passion and love for food and recipes. He was the first one to fire up a grill, oil a skillet, or go on a hot dog run! As long as he had his hot sauce he was ready to eat anything you put in front of him. 
      This page was created to assist his wife with the costs of funeral services. David left behind a wife, daughters, step children, and numerous friends who loved him very much and will never forget the person he was.  If there ever was a person who welcomed, listened, and truly cared; this person was David. He will be cherished in our hearts forever. Please consider helping out David's wife through this difficult time as she navigates through this tragedy and moves forward.
