Ron's Rolling Stones

Welcome to our Fundraising page for Ron Page. Many of you reading this have known Ron Page for the last four decades in the furniture business. Although the industry has had its ups and downs over the years Ron has been by your side through it all.
As many of you know Ron has been struggling with some health issues over the past year. Last July while attending the Las Vegas Market, his downward spiral started. Ron noticed that he was unable to walk, or even move, while attending the market. He was struggling to breathe and it took help from his co-workers to help him get through the Market.
Since that incident, Ron has spent a great deal of time being poked, prodded with countless tests. All of this lead to the discovery that his kidneys were failing and only had 10 % function left. The only option to correct this is a transplant. Until that can be complete, he has since been placed on a dialysis program. Thank goodness for the miracles of modern science. He now spends close to ten hours a day with his new best friend, the Liberty cycler, processing 15,000 ml of the life-saving chemical dextrose solution through his body, taking out the toxins and removing excess fluids.
The prognosis is quite simple and direct. Ron needs a new kidney. It is a sad realization that the expenses to maintain this program are unrealistic for most, including him. Even the best insurance doesn’t cover near what one might expect, leaving him in a situation in which we write this letter….
Some of Ron’s co-workers have decided to walk in his honor in a Kidney Walk on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Philadelphia, PA. The money raised will go towards his medical expenses, as well as a portion of the money raised going to the Kidney Association; hoping to help many people facing the same struggles that he is.
We kindly thank you for your support and donations. If you have any questions please contact Amanda Daubert ([email redacted]) or Darby Hawkins ([email redacted]) at [phone redacted].
