Hayden's Memorial

I'm making this site for my friend who lost her little boy just hours before he made his grand entrance into the world. As a mother-to-be you spend hours planning and preparing for every aspect you can think about for your baby's life. Nursery themes and colors, picking out names, folding and refolding clothes and dreaming about their every feature. Not for a second does anyone think well we should set some money aside just in case we need to pick out headstones, burial plots and plan a funeral. Nothing can truly describe the pain of losing a child. Every hope, every dream, every plan for the future has come crumbling down like a landslide of tragedy.
Sam has been so unbelievably strong in sharing her story, setting up a local group to help other mothers of angel babies and doing everything she possibly can to keep her son's name alive.
Here is abit of her story:
On March 27th, 2014 our beautiful son, Hayden, was born still at nearly 41 weeks. His cause of death was deemed "cord accident". Nothing can truly describe the pain of losing a child. His perfect body weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 21 inches long. He was a big boy, ready to meet the world but a freak accident took his life hours before his birth. (read more on her blog lifeafterhayden.blogspot.com)
The cost of death is hefty and with this unexpected loss they are in shambles trying to figure out how they can lay their sweet boy to rest. The cremation has been done and the little boy's ashes rest in a beautiful urn at this time but it is their wish to bury them in the cemetary across the street and invite their friends and family to a beautiful service where we can honor his short life together and bring some form of closure to this nightmare.
Their hope is to bury him in the fall. They already have a monument so their financial burden is the cost for installing the stone, the plot, and special music for the service
A break down of what is left to pay for is:
The plot is $600
The cost to dig it up and place his urn inside is $250
The cost to place the stone starts at $200 (they will not kow how much exactly until they see the size)
And the cost to have a bag pipe player is $250.
They have been working and scrimping to save up some money for this but as we all know that is not an easy feat these days.
As a friend of Sam, I have been sitting back and watching her grieve only wishing I could do something to ease her pain ( I know I"m not alone). So this is the best solution I could come up with.
We thank you for any and all
donations.
