Donna Connell's ALS Fund

Donation protected
On July 7, 2014 Donna Connell was diagnosed with the hereditary form of ALS, aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  This horrible disease has already taken the lives of her grandmother, father, sister and uncle, and we would like it to end there.  ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.  This results in paralysis, along with loss of the ability to speak, breathe and swallow ultimately resulting in death.

The medical community has great resources but currently nothing out that can cure the disease.   Donna and her family believe that the greatest chance for success with this disease is with the alternative medical community and stem cells, which have both been proven successful in other areas of the world, just not yet recognized in the United States.  Unfortunately, none of this treatment is covered under insurance so the family is facing a mountain of medical bills.

We are throwing a Spaghetti Feed / Silent Auction from 11am-7pm on Sunday September 28th at the Fire Union Hall on 60th and Grover in Omaha Nebraska to raise money to help with the medical expenses.

Thank you very much for your support, love and encouragement
