David Cosner Fight Against Wegeners
Donation protected
On September 22, 2006, David Cosner was diagnosed with Wegener's Granulomatosis, he was 17. This is a rare disease that causes the inflammation of blood vessels which damage major organs of the body, and in his case has attacked his lungs. David will turn 26 this September, and has been battling this disease for 9 years. He has had around 215 surgeries, been in 10+ day comas, learned to walk again two times, and has had two thirds of his right lung removed. While going through this he has attended Texas State University, and recently graduated this May along side his brother. David’s passion and peace lies within bass fishing. While at Texas State he started the Texas State University Bass Cats, a collegiate bass fishing team. He instantly made the club nationally known by winning an FLW tournament with his fishing partner. He has won over $43,000 for the school. He is a true talent of the sport.
David is currently back in the hospital, and his surgery count is climbing. That also means his hospital bills are as well. A lung transplant may be in his near future. This fund is to help the Cosner family with these surgeries and bills. They would be ever so grateful for any donations they can get. Along with being a super fisherman, David is genuine, caring, loving, extremely humorous, Godly, a great son, and a great friend. David, with a superman tattoo on his chest, continues to fight this disease with a smile on his face. His genuine personality shines through everyday. He has the drive, courage, and determination to keep going, no matter what Wegener’s throws at him. Please show support for David and his family, and keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
