"Support goaltending education and research by becoming a member of the FGRE for $29. Members will recieve an FGRE Pin and recognition on the fgre.org website."

"You may also support the FGRE by attending our Goalie Coaches Symposium. You can either register as an individual coach ($95) or a school staff  or an orginazation ($150)."

The mission of The Foundation for Goaltending Research and Education is to educate goalies, parents, coaches and the hockey community on the physical and psychological development of ice hockey goaltenders, as well as conduct research on the health, safety and the environment factors that goalies experience.

The Foundation for Goaltending Research and Education  was founded by a select Board of Directors  which encompasses all aspects of goaltending. This includes goalies, agents, coaches and parents with both male and female representation. The Foundation is a 501 3(c) non profit business.


The Board of Directors provides the direction for the Foundation to be not only an advocate for the goaltending community, but also a sanctuary where goaltenders can be in an environment surrounded by other goaltenders that are as passionate about the position and the sport. The Foundation conducts research  on current hot topics in goaltending, provides educational programs  and supporting resources to goalies, parents and coaches.


The Foundation for Goaltending Research and Education is funded by donations, fees from symposiums  and workshops , as well as memberships . A goaltending coaching symposium is held each year consisting of goalie coaches from across North America and Europe and workshops are conducted monthly for youth hockey goalies and parents.


Donations and memberships are accepted from individuals and organizations looking to support the mission of the foundation. The Foundation for Goaltending Research and Education is able to achieve a high standard of excellence because of the support of all those passionate about the position. 

The goal of this campaign is to provide passionate supporters of goalies the opportunity to play a role in making the position even greater. Everyone involed in the foundation is excited to give back to the position we care so greatly about and we invite you to join us and truly be a part of the goaltending community.
