Detroit3rdmind continues and expands the work that gave rise to Detroit Evolution Laboratory in 2007. This year, in addition to becoming stewards of another child we are further implementing the processes and practices we’ve been learning since leaving ‘the lab’ behind in 2009.

In our new location we envision therapy rooms, a community kitchen, permaculture-based healing gardens, gathering spaces and more. Our dream is to manifest a space that supports our community in building a healthy, self-sufficient and resilient base.

Detroit3rdMind is planned as an intentional live/work/share space dedicated towards non-denominational, non-sectarian and non-dogmatic inquiry of individual identity/ies and collective awareness. This goal is approached through principled, safe practice and participation in projects, learning circles, skillshares, gatherings and actions. Detroit3rdMind strives to respect historical, existent and future work and expression.
