WHAT?
The concept of dilemma is a phenomenon that causes most people, regardless of age, ethnicity or culture, to frequently question their future and the choices that they make. People today face an average of 35.000 decisions daily and many of us find ourselves in a state of continual dilemma. Society is experiencing an overwhelming number of changes in increasing rapidity, while people are losing the familiarity that old customs, including religion, family, identity and professions, once provided.
HOW?
One-night art event that will take place in Carrozzerie | n.o.t on the 16th of January 2020 from 19.30 onwards. Artists will use the space to conduct participatory performances which seek to explore their inner dilemmas. Artists have been invited to share their vision in relation to personal as well as universal dilemmas.
WHO ARE WE?
A group of emerging international curators creating this project as a part of our Master course in Arts Management at IED, coming from countries all over the world. Our vision is to combine our different perspectives in order to create an immersive and interdisciplinary art event. Our goal is to give emerging artists an opportunity to increase their visibility by giving them a space to exhibit their works and create new national and international relationships. We firmly believe in an open and free society based on respect for diversity and in which the talents of our generation are able to express their artistic vision and creativity.
HOW WILL THE MONEY BE USED?
By supporting us, you support the artists and the young curators involved as well as contributing to their artistic practice.
The money that you donate will be used for technical equipment, production and communication costs in order to realize the event.

Il concetto di dilemma è un fenomeno che porta la maggior parte delle persone, indipendentemente dall'età, dall'etnia o dalla cultura, a mettere spesso in discussione il loro futuro e le scelte che fanno. Oggi le persone si trovano di fronte a una media di 35.000 decisioni al giorno e molti di noi sono in uno stato di dilemma continuo. La società sta vivendo un numero schiacciante di cambiamenti sempre più rapidi, mentre le persone stanno perdendo la familiarità che le vecchie istituzioni, tra cui religione, famiglia, identità e professioni, una volta fornivano.
COME?
Dilemma è un evento artistico della durata di una notte che si terrà presso Carrozzerie | n.o.t il 16 gennaio 2020 dalle 19.30 in poi. Gli artisti utilizzeranno questo spazio per condurre performance partecipative che cercano di esplorare i loro dilemmi interiori. Gli artisti sono stati invitati a condividere la loro visione in relazione ai dilemmi personali e universali.
CHI SIAMO?
Siamo un gruppo di curatori emergenti internazionali che ha creato questo progetto come parte finale del nostro Master in Arts Management allo IED, provenienti da Paesi di tutto il mondo. Desideriamo accogliere diversi punti di vista per creare un evento artistico immersivo e interdisciplinare.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di dare agli artisti emergenti l'opportunità di aumentare la loro visibilità dando loro uno spazio per esporre le loro opere e creare nuove relazioni nazionali e internazionali. Crediamo fermamente in una società aperta e libera, basata sul rispetto della diversità e in cui i talenti della nostra generazione sono in grado di esprimere la loro visione e creatività artistica.
COME SARANNO USATI I SOLDI?
Donandoci un piccolo contributo, sostieni gli artisti e i giovani curatori coinvolti e contribuisci alla loro pratica artistica. Il totale raccolto sarà utilizzato per le attrezzature tecniche, i costi di produzione e di comunicazione per realizzare l'evento. Ogni aiuto è molto apprezzato!
