Adele's Over the Rainbow Gifts
Our beautiful Adele was born with Down syndrome on July 24th, 2013. It was a wonderful but also overwhelming time in our lives. We had time to prepare, as we knew about Adele's diagnosis at 15 weeks. Most families find out after delivery and it is a time of mixed emotions and the unknown. The goal of the baskets, is to bring comfort and joy and to show the families that there is lots of support and love from the community.
When a little miracle is born, the hospital calls me, I make up a basket and deliver it immediately. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the families, which was a wonderful moment, filled with hugs and reassurance.
The baskets are made with love and are filled with lots of beautiful items, including;
Books, receiving blankets, hats, lotions, gifts cards, sleepers, onesies, clothes, shampoo, journals and a list of resources for the family to access once at home with their beautiful miracle.
I would love to conitnue to make the baskets and possibly expand the area as to where they are delivered. This is based on the amount we receive in donations. It would be a wonderful project to spread all across the world. Your donation will bring comfort and joy to new families and also this is your opportunity to show others that our beautiful miracles are just that, miracles.
Thank you so much
Krista
